AME provided mechanical consulting services for the NAV CANADA air traffic control station in Victoria, BC.  This tower controls all Inner Harbour float plane flight traffic and provides flight information, weather briefings, aeronautical information services, airport advisory services, and electronic aids to navigation. The new tower was built atop the HMCS Malahat Cadet building, so all services had to be designed and installed to minimize impact to the existing building.  AME introduced a variable refrigerant flow air conditioning system to provide the space cooling required by the intensive aeronautical equipment.  This system maximized operating efficiency in a small amount of space without impacting the operational building below.
