This 80,000 sq ft LEED Silver targeted project was designed by the talented team at Bing Thom Architects and is part of a larger civic investment to the City of Surrey. The new library will offer expanded collections, a large children’s library, casual reading and study spaces, a Learning Centre that will include an electronic classroom for training purposes, and small and large community meeting spaces. Special architectural features include large windows, grand staircases, open ceiling areas and a stunning central atrium. Mechanical features include under floor air distribution, heat recovery with water to water heat pump and high efficiency boilers and water fixtures.
