LEED Gold Certified.  The sustainable design by Garyali Architects has created an incredible environment for both students and faculty at the University.  AME’s mechanical design consists of radiant floor heating and cooling with a minimum ventilation system served from a geothermal field and supplemental solar energy. AME’s preliminary energy model has a 50% reduction of energy usage based on ASHRAE 90.1 – 1999 standards, providing seven energy credits in the CaGBC LEED NC 1.0 guidelines.   AME was awarded 1st place - 2012 ASHRAE Regional Technology Award and 2nd place - 2013 ASHRAE Society Level Technology Award (North America).
